Cicis Pizza

I joined Cicis Pizza as Senior Copywriter during a company-wide overhaul that reset the C-suite, brought all marketing in-house and changed the face of the company with a top-to-bottom rebrand. In my time there I wrote all levels of every copy for both corporate stores and franchises, from POP to OOH to email to the website revamp to social media and on and on. You get the idea.

I was on board when Stuffed Crust Pizza hit the buffet line, and helped create and craft the messaging to market it — including writing the video you see below. This was the first major national undertaking not handled by an outside agency. And hey: it won the Platinum Award in the 2015 Marcom Awards' "Single Spot" category. (The standee netted the Gold Award.)

While this ad was airing nationally, in-store traffic increased 9% and sales by 12.5%, and Cicis hit its two highest system-wide sales weeks in the company's 30-year history. Also, Gary Wright got a bunch of money for "Dreamweaver." Truly a win-win.
